This little catch-call tray is an exploration of grain direction. The tray sides display traditional edge grain orientation that runs long-ways into simple mitered corners. The bottom takes slices across that same grain direction and lays them down in an ever-so-subtle checkerboard. Done in white oak and finished in oil, this one is a nice accent piece for any bookshelf or desk.
